About Me
Dr. Mithila Dey is an accomplished academic and medical professional specializing in Forensic Medicine. She earned her MBBS from Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital Medical College under Chittagong University, Bangladesh, and pursued postgraduate studies in Forensic Medicine at Chittagong Medical College under Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Chattogram Maa-O-Shishu Hospital Medical College since February 2022, Dr. Dey has been actively involved in medical education, previously holding the position of Lecturer from 2015 to 2022. She is dedicated to shaping future healthcare professionals through engaging and practical teaching methods, emphasizing the intersection of medical science and legal frameworks.
Her research interests focus on forensic medicine, medical ethics, and medicolegal practices, with multiple publications on topics such as medico-legal post-mortem examinations, medical consent, and ethical practices in healthcare.
A life member of the Bangladesh Medical Association and Forensic Medicine Society, Dr. Dey actively contributes to professional associations, workshops, and research initiatives. She remains committed to advancing forensic medicine and medico-legal education in Bangladesh and beyond.
